Description:

Juno hails from the exotic land of Arkansas where she roamed free until she was first rescued by MARS in 2016. After 9 loving years, Juno’s family decided to move to an even more exotic location where, very sadly, she is not able to come along. Juno is about 10 years old, is in excellent health and is quite spry for her age. She is believed to be a lab corgi mix, and both breed traits are displayed regularly. She LOVES to play fetch; she will always chase after a ball, and almost always brings it back (unless she is tired). And like a corgi, she can be a bit stubborn and vocal, as well as smart… and, needless to say, very cute (just look at those stubby legs)! Most notable, however, is her fiercely loyal and affectionate nature. Juno loves nothing but to be your companion on walks, dog park adventures, and cuddles on the couch.

With strangers she can be a bit shy and guarded, but once she warms up to someone she is very sweet. Don’t let her vocal nature deceive you- she desperately wants to be petted!

She is mostly indifferent about other dogs; as long as she is left alone she is happy. With cats she is very curious and often tries to “play” with them which most cats don’t seem to appreciate. She coexisted with a cat for 9 years mostly peacefully, though the cat probably thought Juno was annoying.

She values her space and will let others (both animals and people) know when she feels her space is being invaded by growling, and will snap if she feels pushed (she has never bitten anyone). Even though she has lived with small children and was quite tolerant of them, we believe it would be best for her sake to spend her older years in a home less burdened by the chaos of tiny humans.

Juno is fully house and crate trained. She is very food motivated and is always eager to get more. Seriously, don’t leave any food unattended… she will find a way!

But more than anything, she craves love from her human(s). She wants nothing more than a loving family who can give her the time and attention she deserves. Give her your love and she will be your most loyal friend!

*The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification!

Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
